Julie and her husband have three little girls- Gabbi, Mandi, and Jazzi. They all help sort out the recyclables at home.

Julie has been recycling since the beginning of Gilroy’s curbside program. She remembers using laundry baskets at her parents’ house to keep recyclables separate before they went in the outside bins. Now Julie LOVES the blue cart!

They have 5 people in the family and they only use a 32-gallon garbage cart. They put coffee grounds, food scraps, fast food paper, etc. in the yard waste cart along with their yard clippings.

Gabbi said that recycling is important because it helps our earth. She also knows that it helps keep our air clean if we drive less. Gabbi pointed out that it is good to use the second side of a piece of paper before you recycle it. If we use less paper - less trees are cut down.

Thank you, Miller Family!
